I actually love books where one person falls in love with another person's sister. One of my favorite tropes.
4.5 stars. This was my favorite one of the series. Cory and Natalie were perfect for each other. They had the right amount of witty banter and chemistry for days. My only complaint is I wish it didn’t take so long for them to get their shit together. It’s definitely a trend in this series and several months isn’t bad compared to years like some of the couples in the other books in the series but I personally didn’t think it needed to be that long. Otherwise it was a great read.

Audiobook Review:
I had a hard time with this one. I love the humor and spice in all of the Meghan Quinn books I've listened to, but this one made me roll my eyes a couple times. I'm just really not into miscommunication or missed communication. If you don't mind that then cool, but I prefer more grown-up actions, I guess.
I loved Cory and Natalie's relationship when they were together, but man! Cory seriously internalizes some shit. So much so that he literally makes himself sick. And then Natalie trying to say she understands what it's like to be in the spotlight because of her brother, but then she doesn't listen to Cory when he asks her not to do something so the media doesn't spin it in a bad way. And then there's the third act break-up. I can completely understand Cory's mental breakdown that he essentially has because of all of the shit he has been dealing with, but for neither one of them to say a single word to each other for months after?! And they had just said they love each other?? Ugh. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue this series in particular just because there's been a stupid breakup in each one. I'm just bummed because I love how Meghan Quinn gets her characters together, the spice, the love... but then the breakups are wah-wah.
I loved these narrators!

4th book in the Brentwood series & I was so excited for this one. Cory was my favorite side character in the first 3 books. But, him as a main character
4 STARS
Corey Potter. That’s all.
Just kidding. I absolutely loved Corey and Natalie. They, at times, were a little over-mushy for me with each other, but I loved their story and the conflict and resolution.
Slow burn. Meghan Quinn is now synonymous with slow burn, but not your normal slow burn. The kind of slow that I’m frustrated right along with the characters, often want to scream JUST DO IT ALREADY.
This is one of my fave series. I have enjoyed each and every standalone.

“You’re not a man you have a fling with. I learned that pretty quickly,” she says softly. “You’re the man you hold on to, cherish, thank whoever is listening that they’re a part of your life. You’re special, Cory.”
“You’re extraordinary. You’re a force to be reckoned with, funny, intelligent, and I’ll be honest, sexy as fuck. And when you’re ready, there’s no doubt in my mind you’ll find what you’re looking for. Who you’re looking for.”
We were first introduced to Cory Potter in The Dugout, and now it’s his turn to have his story told. When we meet up with Cory in The Trade, Cory gets the news that every baseball player dreads…..he’s been traded. And if being traded wasn’t bad enough, he finds out he’s been traded to the team that he’s hated his entire life. However, Cory will quickly discover that being traded is the least of his worries. You see, Cory meets a girl, the girl he thinks could possibly the one. He swore he didn’t want any complications, but when it comes to this girl, he can’t stay away. The only problem is, this girl is completely unattainable. 100% off limits…..or is she???
The Trade is a fantastic addition to this romantic comedy/sports romance series. I fell in love with all these characters, starting way back to The Line Up and with each story, and each character, I fall deeper in love. The Line Up, The Dugout, The Locker Room and The Trade can all be read and enjoyed as stand-alone novels, but I promise you won’t be disappointed if you end up binge reading the entire series. Now, back to The Trade….
The Trade was such a fun story. I can’t believe how hard I fell for Cory. Cory was at the top of his game and was oh, so devastated when he found out he had been traded. Only then to meet the girl of his dreams and find out she’s off limits. This poor guy can’t catch a break. But, a pregame getaway with some good friends and familiar faces will prove that everything isn’t what it seems and maybe, just maybe Cory might have a chance. Cory is one of the sweetest guys. He’s got such a big heart and when he falls in love, he does not hold back. He goes for what he wants. And Natalie….when it comes to love, she’s been dealt some pretty tough cards. She isn’t looking for love and isn’t about to put her heart on the line, but when it comes to Cory, he’s the kind of guy that leaves her questioning everything.
The road to happily ever after wasn’t an easy one for Cory and Natalie. It was filled with lots of bumps, hurdles and foot in mouth type situations along the way. But, if I’ve learned anything while watching these two try to figure things out, it’s that love is definitely worth fighting for. Neither one of these characters were perfect, but they were real and honest and had me hoping they’d find their HEA after all.
The Trade is a fun and entertaining romantic comedy. It has a delicious slow burn that will leave you aching for more. The characters are real and flawed in their own special ways. There’s great tension and explosive chemistry. There’s moments that will make you laugh and others that will have you grabbing your hair in frustration. Yes, this book will have you experiencing all kinds of emotions and in the end, it will leave you with all the feels. I had a fabulous time losing myself in Cory and Natalie’s book and can not wait to see who this author will have stealing my heart next!

I am so happy that it’s finally Cory’s turn. I really liked him throughout the series and I couldn’t wait to read all about him. Right off the bat (heh), he’s a man who knows what he wants and is not afraid to express it. I really liked the chemistry between the both of them. Jason is still my fave in the series and I could read about his love for Cory all day long, he just cracks me up. It was also great to get caught up with the other characters in the series, they’re all great people.
