Cory Freaking Potter!! Loved how he was spiraling and found his center to hold him together with Natalie. Adored seeing the past couples and how they are making it still work.
I've never been a fan of love triangles, but this is kind of a cheat I really enjoyed. Super cute

This was gonna be 4 stars til the fucking time skips at the end. Can this author write ANYTHING without month-long time skips where the MC's are broke up? Christ.. find another plot. Please.

Kinda lame and boring. Fast forwarded through a lot of it and never lost my place. Sex was vanilla and not spicy the few times it did happen.
I’ve been waiting for this story! It was everything I wanted and more!
Laugh out loud good!
I have never had a book that made me laugh so hard. It was so amazing! The love the characters the story. It is a must read. I had not read the other stories and was able to easily follow along. Double thumbs up!

Listened on Spotify. What a boring book haha I can’t read another Megan Quinn book.
4.5 rounded up
I think Cory's story may be my favorite so far.

Cory Potter is one of the best players in major league baseball. When he got traded mid-season from his long time team to one of the teams in Chicago, he struggled to find his place. The press and the fans went out of their way to make his life miserable. But he still soldiered on, working out and hitting the ball better than anyone else.
He met his teammate Jason's sister Natalie at a fundraiser. He wasn't interested in a relationship before, because his focus was all on the game - but now his focus was on Natalie. When he heard she was married, it was a blow to his heart because he'd finally met the beautiful, intelligent, and kind woman who he thought might be "the one".
Natalie is recovering from her divorce from the only man she's ever been with. She and her friends think she needs to fling it up for a while since she'd been in that relationship since her mid teens. When she and Cory somehow wind up sharing a room at a family & friends vacation shortly before spring training starts, Cory first discovers her single status and then learns that she's not planning to jump into a new relationship - so he tries to put the brakes on his attraction to her.
This is another cute story from author Meghan Quinn. There's attraction and learning about each other - and these two main characters are just good people who deserve a happily ever after. But there are bumps in the road, almost all from the way Cory gets treated by the Rebel fans and the press. That's the biggest unlikely part of the story but for the sake of fiction friction, I'll allow it (ha)
I always enjoy MQs books.

I loved this one! I was captivated from the very beginning!
I loved our characters so much! While Corey certainly struggled with stress and could definitely have benefited from a therapist, I love how he was the nice guy of the team and that he fell fast and hard for Natalie. Natalie is soooo relatable for me! She is awkward, self-conscious, and sensitive and man, did I vibe with that.
Corey’s relationship with his team and “fans” goes through some major struggles. Corey, being the nice guy of the team that he is, takes it in stride and eventually all the hate takes its toll on his mental health and his relationship with Natalie.
Natalie also goes on a crazy journey of discovering her own self-worth. I don’t want to give too much away, but she has been with the same man her entire life and now that she’s back on the market, she learns a LOT about dating and her preferences and honestly she’s my favorite of the three Meghan Quinn FMC’s that I’ve read so far.
I loved seeing a glimpse of pre-Kinsley Maddox (well, before-his-book-Maddox). I definitely wish I would’ve read these in order but out of the three in this series that were available to me on Hoopla, I went in order of which plot caught my interest. And while I highly recommend these, reading them in order will definitely help things make more sense (even if they technically are all stand alones).
