4.5 stars. Did I mention that I love this series so much? Lol I'm pretty sure I say every time I post review up for the series. I'm actually not sure if this is the last book or if there's more, but I really hope there's more. I just can't get enough of these hot, quirky, funny, dirty, baseball players.
Be prepared for a mental rollercoaster, and a long story that will captivate your heart, until it doesn't.
I love Meghan Quinn, don't get me wrong. She is my go to author when I need to relax or to have a palette cleanser in between strong books full of fantasy etc!
But why does the man always needs to be the one to fuck up? I mean, we all felt in love with Cory Potter, and he is not even my style.
I know we need a fight, something to break us, but she could definitely be the one that run away, especially with her fears, her low self esteem and her way of acting through the book. Unfortunately, I want to flush the last 30% of this book down the pipes and change the whole last part of it.
Oh well, of to another book of Quinn, one that will remind me why I love her so much.

Spoiler
To change his character, his style like that, you just screw up the whole image of him. Their issues, their fight, doesn't fit him, isn't the Cory we loved. And talking about love, she doesn't love him also, because she can't support him, she doesn't try, she doesn't see what he is going throughI know we need a fight, something to break us, but she could definitely be the one that run away, especially with her fears, her low self esteem and her way of acting through the book. Cory Potter has been traded mid season to a new team, he had one of his worst season in his new team and he is crushing to a married woman. At least he thinks she is married. Natalie is newly divorced and ready to date again, her self esteem has taken a hit after her divorce. When she and Cory are invited in a vacation with their friends they end up spending a lot of time together, Cory is trying to keep his distance, making Natalie think that he is not interested.
Cory is so sweet, especially when he tries to forget his crush. From the first moment he is saying the sweetest things. Natalie is more reserved, she is not ready to go all in in a new relationship.
Cory being a very famous baseball player is also dealing with the press, which seem to have targeted him and having a field day with everything he does. In this difficult situation his goal is to protect the people he loves and keeps on playing.
Jason, Natalie's brother and Cory's teammate, who if you read The Lineup book you will remember, is very present in this book and a sweethear. He is always there for both of them and ready to deliver one of his killer lines, the things he says and does are hilarious.
* I received an arc and this is my honest review.

Making my way through MQ’s backlist on Scribd and this is exactly what I needed!! The story has so much laugh out loud humor I was cackling to myself while running errands but also an emotional side that keeps you glued. Along with that, Cory (the male main character) was not only a baseball player but also the sweetest cinnamon roll. Natalie (the female main character) was perfect for him (best banter), and I loved how her brother was a player as well. I did not read the three earlier books in the series beforehand, but had no problem picking up the storyline and understanding all the friendships!
Read if you like:
-Sports romance
-Baseball player
-Teammate’s sister
-Vacation fling
-Slow burn
-Age gap (35/26)
-Rom co

Oh man I love this series.
Cory ….. Potter man I am so glad we got his story.
I loved that he became so lovestruck with Natalie. I also liked how nervous Natalie was to be around Cory but that they also made a friendship come to life at the same time. That was kinda awesome.
Jason is still a favorite character of mine he cracks me up with his love for Cory but also how sweet he is to his sister. They are more like best friends kinda awesome really.
Milly is the best sister for Cory too she just gets him and she isn’t afraid of him in the least and knocks his head on straight.
Great story, even better narration. I want more please.

The Trade can easily be read as a standalone but if you want to know the other characters and have the complete story and want to read some really GOOD, funny & romantic books then I would highly recommend that you read these other books and then read The Trade.
The Locker Room - Knox Gentry & Emory “Em” Ealson
The Dugout - Carson Stone & Milly Potter
The Lineup - Jason Orson & Dottie Domico
Well my wish was granted. I wanted Cory Potter’s story told and guess what? YES The Trade is Cory Potter and Natalie Orson’s story.
Now this could get a little confusing but Cory is Milly Potter’s brother and Milly’s story was told in The Dugout. And Natalie’s brother is Jason Orson and his story was in The Lineup.
In The Trade Cory Potter has been traded to the Chicago Rebel’s. Carson Stone & Jason Orson also play for the Chicago Rebel’s. Cory meets Natalie and he is attracted immediately! But he finds out she is married. However he does find out later that she is divorced. And the story continues on….
The Trade has all the feels. It is funny, it is sad at times. I can’t believe those Rebel’s fans! , there is hunky sexy chemistry between Cory and Natalie.
I loved reading The Trade for that matter I love this whole series. I am so happy that I stopped saying that I don’t read sport romances because it isn’t all about the sport it’s about the romance and the story. This book is 5 star worthy!!! Loved IT!!!
