I always enjoy a Kasie West book. Reminds me of my youth and the books that I would read over the summer. I appreciate that West usually always has parents in the story, so the teenagers are not without parental authority. :) This book felt like a week away at a family summer camp.

Dirty Dancing…only take out the dancing and make it a rock band in this young adult romance.
i wasn’t invested in this story and just didn’t care.

This was definitely really cute, as all of Kasie West's books are. This one wasn't really my favorite though. I wasn't crazy about the chemistry between Avery and Brooks. Which is a bummer bc I really enjoyed the chemistry in the last two Kasie West books I read.
But still, her books never blow my mind, but I always enjoy them. So this one was definitely cute and fun, just not my favorite. Still look forward to whatever else she puts out!

3.5 ⭐️!!
Cute and summery, but the story and characters could have been developed a lot more.
