Like every other Kasie West book I've picked up, I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading this one. Yeah so it's a summer book and I just read it in the middle of winter, but it was still so sweet. I honestly love these because of how simple they are. Usually "simple" has a bad connotation but sometimes it's what you need. Like comfort food.

Obviously, it's not perfect and I wish either the pacing had been smoother or the book longer to fix some issues. Compared to the others, I didn't mind the abrupt end so much seeing as I'm extremely biased towards the happy ending.

This was a nice book to start off the year.

“I’m going to discover myself this summer.” He was the first person I had admitted that to.
“Are you missing?” he asked.
“I’m beginning to think I am.” And it was not a good feeling.”

This is a quintessential YA romance. It’s like if Dirty Dancing and a DCOM had a book baby. The story was light and fast paced while still making you care about the characters.

*3.75?

This was a fun perfect summer read. The main character was kinda annoying at times and the plot was predictable but I still overall enjoyed the book. Also, the relationship between Brooks and Avery was unclear for so much of it I was a little confused. Like they were basically boyfriend and girlfriend but didn’t admit till like the end.
