eh, shallow.

The main character is such a whiner about EVERYTHING. like I get it, life's tough, friends aren't always loyal, but you have hottie chasing after you, you can sing beautifully, and you have flawless skin. You've got quite a few things going for you already, chickadee.

All of Kasie West's previous books have had a moral to the story beyond the romance. This one basically had the MC go back to living her life as it was before...but with a boyfriend.

Cute, sweet. Dirty Dancing meets Camp Rock. Very PG, at one point the main character tells love interest “Screw you!” And it’s a b i g deal, so this would be totally fine for a younger YA.

This was oh, so cute! I really, really enjoyed it and it made me a bit nostalgic too. Avery reminded me a bit of my past self and I really enjoyed reading about her and Brooks and all the others! It just had so much fun listening to this audiobook!! 4.5/5 stars

Kasie West has such a unique ability to make you feel like nothing matters in life but summer and love.
Which is great, especially when her books have such strong character development and the journey for characters to find themselves aren't just because of the romance. If you took away her love interests, the characters would still grow and change, finding the path they are meant to take and thrive.

“But sometimes we start to change, grow, and the box begins to get small and cramped. And yet we fight to stay inside because the walls are high and climbing out seems harder than staying.”—Chapter 34

Hate to love story. Slow burn romance. Summer Camp. Family holiday.

I really enjoy this book. It starts with slow pace to 'can't stop reading' feeling. Kasie West always make me feel happy after finish read her book including this one. I like how Summer Camp place has been described, also family interaction although only a little bit told in the story. Ah... I miss family holiday so much.

I can relate with main character's conflicts. I understand how she felt when it happened. So many options but we can only choose one.
