Obviously it's just a short introduction to the topic of anarchism and its history, but I definitely would have enjoyed a bit more to do with the actual theory so to say to contrast the fairly long bit about the actual practice. Not that you aren't introduced to concepts during it, it's just a bit more work to really crystallize them from the text.

This was my first foray into Chomsky's work. I found the brief text to be highly accessible, excepting the final chapter, which is a bit dense, but also an excellent read. On Anarchism has prompted me to order more of his works and sparked my interest in the topics Chomsky discusses.

Not comprehensive by any means, but a decent read if you want to hear some basic commentary on why we might consider anarchism as a viable mode of society.

The best parts, for me, were the Q&A sections from Understanding Power and the interview with Harry Kreisler.

Incredibly dull, badly formatted. You barely get any insight into what he thinks about anarchism. First chapter is great and stays on point (even if it is dense) and then the 2nd chapter it all goes to hell. He attempts an epic clap back on some lib historian that didn't cover the Spanish Civil war to his liking and he spends the majority of the book mad as hell about this. Not easy to parse without a solid understanding of how events took place which I do not. Reads with the same tedium as going through Wikipedia articles

I have attempted to read Chomsky before and usually find it tedious or at the very least the broad point could be made in 10 pages of text including examples what what's being described.

The important thing here is the cover is awesome and people that come over will see it and think you're a smart guy so it serves it's purpose in some way I suppose

Estridente. No estoy muy familiarizado con la no-ficción, pero es un fascinante ensayo sobre la importancia y principios del anarquismo. Movió mi perspectiva sociopolítica en una dirección clara y concisa. Como si esta posición me hubiera estado esperando.

Why so much focus on the Spanish Civil War--oh.
