I know I'm not the target audience for this, as I don't listen to the podcast. But this was pretty entertaining! And creepy! And funny! And creepy!

I liked listening to the podcast. By the second chapter, the ever changing descriptions got tiring to read
Amazing read. The authors manage to capture exactly the same spooky and weird style of the podcast.
I am a fan of the Welcome To Night Vale podcast and snatched up the book as soon as I could. It’s been sitting on my “Read” pile shooting me accusing glares for ages. I finally brushed the dust off of it and started to read. Although it does run long in spots it still is the same weirdness that I love about Welcome To Night Vale.
I think I would have enjoyed this more in its original shorter podcast form. It was funny at first, but then the conceit began to wear thin. This was a book we read aloud while driving, and my partner did enjoy it much more than I did, so..
fun and comfortable and easy to return to the mysterious town of nightvale even after all this time
To anyone who claims there is no story to the novel, you obviously didn't read long enough. I've only listened to a couple episodes of the podcast so I am by no means one of those people who will say, "Just listen to the podcast, it helps!" For this sort of surreal romp into thought experiments, philosophy, and light-hearted scandal, all I suggest you do is read with an open mind and be ready to accept some ridiculous sentences into your brain.
This book is very different from your average scifi/fantasy book. There are constant hypocritical sentences, counter intuitive observations, and just plain weirdness in the book, but I like that. It's different, it's interesting. The characters we are introduced to in the beginning chapters of the book all play a part, and I found that the way it all comes together is very cool and interesting. There's a lot to think about between the lines here, and if you're willing to step outside of your comfort zone of predictable storytelling, I think you will enjoy it.
