Like Gossip Girl, but with princes and princesses. This should have been a fun read, but I never cared enough about the characters to get really sucked in. Will probably read a spoiler of the second book to find out what happens - I’m curious, but not curious enough to read it.

The only time I’ll ever support the monarchy is in this book

Boring.

I read this book as a palate cleanser with the hope that it would be a light and fun novel. It was definitely light, but not too fun for me. The characters were predictable and tiring, and it didn't end with a nice, happy ending. I should have realized it was only the first book in a series so it needed to end on cliff hanger! While the concept was original, the end product is not something I'd recommend.

Interesting premise. And while I did enjoy it, it's one of those stories where there wouldn't be half as much story if everyone would just communicate rather than skulking around mad at each other for perceived slights.

It's like royal reality TV, based on an American Royal family (the Washington's). You'll have a book-crush on Jeff, until you realize what an idiot he is -but aren't all guys? Maybe he'll grow up a bit in the next book? All of the gossip-worthy intrigues will keep you coming back and wishing the book didn't end. Thankfully the story continues!

Perfect vacation read.
