What a fun piece of fluff. This was just enjoyable and the main character Qwilleran is not irritating or over the top. Koko or should I say Kao K'o-Kung; the Siamese cat. Qwillerans descriptions of his interactions with the cat were hilarious; you have to be a cat owner to understand (maybe). I like his easy manner, unapologetic honesty and dry sense of humor. Just fun reading.

Meh. Highly worth reading if you've ever worked in a modern newspaper for the glimpse of what it was like during the golden age, but the rest of it was unmemorable.
Jaren geleden (bijna?) alle delen van de serie een of meerdere malen gelezen. Nu ze eens op volgorde aan het herlezen! Nog steeds leuk.
Hilarious and charming. Light reading fun. I listened to the book on CD and read in between. Just charming story about cats, mustaches and artists.
Did anyone else laugh hysterically when he said the art critics false hand was made in Michigan? Something about the delivery of that - the dry humor throughout the book - made me have to put the book down and wipe the laughter tears from my eyes.
I'm going to read more from this author. Very charming and transcends the decades wonderfully.

This is an interesting story and plot that you can't predict who the murderer is till the end. The cat appears to be the Sherlock and the newsman is Watson. A cozy and relaxing read, and makes you laugh when you read the characters' names.

This was a delightful little mystery book! I thought the ending was a little rushed due to the beginning dragging to give context for Qwilleran.
