The book War Horse by Michael Morpurgo is a great book to read. The book was filled with action and excitement. It gives great detail on a real life event that happened. The book is from the point of view of the horse named Joey. It tells of Joey's adventure from how Albert's father bought him and brought him to there home on the farm. There was a war going on so the army needed horses so Albert's father gave Joey to the army because they needed money. Joey went through a lot and finally made it back to his beloved owner, Albert, through all of the adventures he had being a horse in the war. Overall it is a great book and I recommend reading it if you like horses and action.
I preferred the play but I was glad to have the source material. A great book for kids and introducing them to difficult concepts.
I love how powerful a writer he is. I also love how he intertwines wonderful story-telling whilst bringing to life history.
