Emotional, Angsty Romance You Won't Want to Put Down
Mine for a Moment is a beautifully angsty and emotional romance that had me hooked from the start. Archer and Serenity’s chemistry is intense, and I loved every moment of their connection. The spice was just right, adding depth to their feelings.
The drama surrounding their romance felt deeply emotional, keeping me invested the whole way through. The office romance and brother's best friend tropes were nice touches, though I wish there had been a bigger reveal on the latter. The short chapters made this an easy, fast-paced read, and I especially enjoyed the cameos from characters in the Windsor series. Highly recommend for fans of high-stakes romance! ★★★★★

Not gonna lie; I despised this book when it was first announced because I was waiting for Sierra and Xavier's book to be announced and teased, but I am so happy I picked it up because it easily became one of my favorite books. I liked how everything progressed in the book and with the characters. Nothing felt rushed or unexplained.
The relationship between Sera and Archer was so pure, even though they both went into it with the wrong intentions. However, the way everything played out was smooth and caring, and it was impossible not to fall in love with them. Everything from Archer helping complete her travel/ultimate to-do list to just loving her was so heartfelt and so easy to tell that he genuinely loved her.
Although this book was a chef's kiss MWAH MWAH MWAH, there were a few things that felt forgotten:
1. There was no confrontation between Kristen and Sera at all. Sera claimed that Kristen was one of her best friends but in the entire book there was only one face to face interaction between the both of them and just Kristen texting Sera and her not responding. She knew how Sera felt about Theo yet still decided to pursue him and not even tell her about it? Thats not what a best friend is, at least Theo had the guts of telling her even though he only told her because they couldn't move in together. Overall, their friendship or whatever it was could've been worked on.
2. Tyra coming back was expected from the beginning and her causing a drift between Arch and Sera was also expected, but I wanted more drama in the book, more outbursts, more tension, especially on Ezra's side. Sure he knew what was happening but didn't want to say anything but he could've at least confronted them and given them his blessing and be like "im happy for yall" but there was nothing.
3. Cat's stories have always had a huge focus on family and family always being there, but we never got to see Arch introduce Sera to his family and seeing how they all interact. Especially since many of the readers are already aware and attached to the Harrison family from The Broken Vows, it would've been nice to see Celeste, Zane, and the Harrison family get together for a cooking class and games, the way Archer mentioned to Sera how he needed a person to back him up to win some games.
It may look like I didn't like this book based on how much I ranted about what more I wanted to see, but truly did love the Arch and Sera's story unfold and see them grow from people who were hung up on people from their past to moving on from them and finding their place with each other.
**also im pretty sure Tyra and Ezra's story is next, im so excited about that one!**
