There are themes and iconic scenes in this book that have defined literature ever since. It’s lengthy in places but the last chapter in particular is an atmospheric masterpiece. Dracula’s association with Whitby is now as immortal as the Count himself - go climb the hill and stand beside the abbey, feel it for yourself - I love it.
البداية (مذكرات جوناثان) كانت لا بأس بها، لحضور دراكولا فيها. لكن بعد تحوّل الراوي إلى شخصيات أخرى والكلام عن تفاصيل مالها داعي أفقد الرواية زخمها والرعب المفترض كذلك. هذه الرواية تصنيفها رومانس أفلاطوني مع القليل من الأحداث الغامضة، بالإضافة إلى شخصيات سطحية تجيد الشكوى لوقت طويل دون أفعال. وقفت في المنتصف ولا أستطيع الإكمال.
