A solid read of the genre. I generally dislike when you can feel the setup for the rest of the series/partnerships in the series in the book I'm currently reading but that's over pretty quickly and I did enjoy the different characters and personalities as they were built up in the story. Some good spice and a good relationship build up and pay off.

Notorious rake Kieran goes too far—contributing to a scandal that could ruin his sister's reputation. His father gives him an ultimatum: marry a respectable lady within a twelvemonth, or lose his allowance. So he asks Celeste, his best friend's sister, to help him rehabilitate his reputation. She agrees, with one stipulation: introduce her to the more risqué side of London society, before she resigns herself to a loveless marriage with the stodgy earl who's courting her. Reluctantly, Kieran agrees, squiring her about disguised as "Salome." But what will they do if her true identity is discovered?

The tension and chemistry between these two is off the charts. If you like stories of reputed good girls letting loose and getting into late-night shenanigans, this book is for you.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I enjoyed the book. I thought Celeste was a wonderful character. I loved her spark and zest for life. Kieran was a good hero. Overall, I enjoyed the story. I would have liked a bit more at the end, I thought everything tied up quickly. I am looking forward to the other two books in the series.

An excellent historical romance with incredibly sweet characters. My favorite parts were the unusual character ranks (it's about a third son instead of your typical story about a Duke) and the (incredibly sexy) emphasis on consent.

What a complete and utter delight this book was! I loved everything about Celeste and Kieran. Celeste was such an amazing woman and I loved watching her dazzle everyone she met. Unlike so many historical romances, it felt like (at least in the beginning) we followed Kieran, Finn, and Dom more than our heroine and I, for one, am here for it. I can't wait to see what's in store for Finn in the next book. Eva Leigh *never* disappoints.

This book was lovely. The premise was fun, the different settings were rich and exciting, and the romance was both tender and steamy.

I'm looking forward to the next in the series and would recommend this for anyone looking for an easy to read historical romance with a bit of a modern progressive touch.
