I read this book looking for a horror novel because of my love of the genre. I was not disappointed in the manner that does contain horror. I was more surprise at the amount of suspense the book presented. Always expecting the book to jump out and do a fright scare. When the book gets to the point of horror, it is so natural that the reader just says of course, like if it was natural for that to happen, when it was completely unnatural.
Tea recommended for Little Star: Forever Nuts by David's Tea. Not just because of it's title but because the color of the tea turns a blood red. It is a tea centered on different type of nuts, reminding me of the woods of which the book takes place at times

If you've ever been a Weird Little Girl, this one's for you, but it's gonna be uncomfortable. My brother lent me the book and told me it was the most disturbing thing he'd ever read (more so than Let the Right One In, which I disagree with), so when I started finding the main characters wildly relatable, I got concerned. I kept waiting to STOP finding the main characters wildly relatable. It didn't happen. Teresa in particular spoke to me in a way that will stick with me for a long time.
