Struggled with this book - the concept and world is great but didn’t feel connected to the characters and although the book changes between characters POVs they didn’t have defined voices.

This was fun.  It felt like a fresh concept even though there were common tropes throughout. I enjoyed the characters and the relationships that developed between them. Bonus points for 1. I love a female that kicks ass and Kissen does it with one leg! 2. Queer/Gay relationships are normal. 3. Good representation of people with disabilities (Kissen and Telle).

this book has been in my want to read since i got my goodreads account; it was one of the first in app recommendations i ever got and i am so glad i finally got around to reading it!

this universe is incredibly interesting and it hits a fantasy sweet spot where there is a lot of world building, and a lot of lore, but it is set up in a way that isn’t overwhelming or confusing. all of the characters have such developed individual personalities and it is so easy to be invested in their stories and adventures.

i can’t wait to read the next one!
