When reading a want a book to capture my attention initially for me to be motivated to keep reading it and this book did not satisfy that motivation, because of that I couldn't finish this book. May come back to it later, but as of right now, its a no-go.

Buku ini bercerita tentang kehidupan Kya Clark sebagai "Marsh Girl" atau "Gadis Rawa-Rawa". Plot buku yang menceritakan kisah hidup Kya sejak ia kecil hingga meninggal diceritakan dengan kata-kata dan kalimat yang poetic. Buku ini juga membuat pembaca menjadi tahu tentang berbagai spesies binatang dan tanaman di rawa-rawa tempat Kya hidup.
Awalnya, memang agak sulit buat adaptasi karena logat/aksen percakapan yang memakai Southern American English. Namun, seiring halaman berlalu, buku ini sangat amat mudah untuk dinikmati. Perpaduan antara plot buku genre coming-of-age, misteri, romance dan fiksi sejarah sangat amat dapat dinikmati. Terlebih, [a:Delia Owens|7043934|Delia Owens|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1524665831p2/7043934.jpg] sangat detil mendeskripsikan perasaan loneliness, angry, depressed dan bergolakan batin Kya.
I don't know, this book just become one of my all time favs. Kutipan-kutipan buku yang sangat relatable dan menyentuh tentang jatuh cinta, kesepian dan perjuangan hidup seorang perempuan sendiri di rawa. It's just...perfect! Sepanjang buku menebak siapa pembunuhnya, ternyata di akhir buku twist-nya cukup bikin melongo dan mikir, "Kok bisa?"
Overall, this book is amazing and one of the best writings I've ever read! Gak sabar mau nonton filmnya dan lihat visualisasi rawa-rawanya.
