This book pulled at my heart. The imagery of the marsh is lovely, and the story of this girl’s life breaks you down and builds you back up. I loved this book. I recommend to everyone.

When I first started reading this, I assumed that the book would end tragically and I'm so pleased that it didn't. It ended in such a hopeful, but honest and real way. The book is tragic throughout. Loneliness and love are the main themes. I feel that the book concluded in a way that honoured both of those things perfectly.
