SUCHHHHH a classic ghost story.

i read along with the audiobook narrated by Paapa Essiedu, which greatly improved my enjoyment and immersion into the story.

i think the 'scares' may feel subdued to some, but I think they serve to create a really believable haunting. a demon dragging you to hell is a bit much, but who hasn't seen their dog growl at nothing or heard a bump in the night?

upped from 4 to 5 stars because of the life-changing bond arthur had with that little terrier dog... too real...
