This reminded me a lot of the Netflix series of Scream, it had that great mixture of slasher but also psychological thriller! It was full of tension and suspense, and incredibly atmospheric. I particularly liked the set-up, the use of different relationships, and the massive shock reveal!!

There were some parts that bugged me. Mostly, I think the ending was super rushed, and let the rest of the book down. So much atmosphere and tension was built up, then it kind of just... ended, which was disappointing :( Also I don't know how I feel about the way it represented mental illness and the codependent relationship.

Whatever possessed me when I was younger to step away from this book…WHY? This book was SO good. I loved everything about it. Granted, I did predict a lot of the plot twists EXCEPT FOR THE LAST ONE.
I still can’t believe Minnie died. She was a toxic friend, but she was also mentally unstable.
And let me say I have a very high tolerance for messed-up deaths. THIS BOOK LITERALLY MADE ME GAG.
Meg + T.J. are couple goals, though.
This book needs to be talked about more. I loved it.

I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. SO good.

Exceeded expectations

So... I guessed who did it. I guessed why. But when I say I guessed why, I mean I just guessed when I originally thought of it. That said, it didn't take away anything from enjoying the book for me. I love a good spooky, atmospheric story and this delivered on all fronts.

Good, cheesy fun. Just what I needed during a hard week.
Liked how the love interest was actually a POC. Didn't like how sterotypical the book made Minnie, who suffered from bipolar and anxiety, out to be. The random SENTENCES in CAPS LOCK was a little weird, too. But maybe I'm just too old to understand teenage drama.

3.5 Stars

Ugh I don’t know what to rate the book. A 3 or a 4???? 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s definitely a retelling (YA edition) of And Then There Were None. I personally have a hard time reading Agatha Christie but I did enjoy this book. Blah. I guess I’ll go 3.5. I hate doing halves. There is no half on here! Goodreads get some half stars please!!!!!!

A suspenseful and exciting novel full of characters that feel real. A quick and excellent read.

This was just ok. I didn't really feel as much suspense as I would have liked. Also, the kids were not nearly as upst about all the death as I feel like they should have been.
