This was my first time reading a horror manga and I loved it. Ito’s art style captured tension and horror in a very cinematic way. There were a few times that even when I knew what I would see when I turned the page, I still got jump scared. I liked the themes of Lovesickness the best, but The Strange Hikizuri Siblings definitely won for creep factor.

This was the first junji ito collection I’ve read and I really liked it. I thought the stories were good I wish they would’ve been longer though but I think the abrupt endings added to the spookiness of them. I didn’t really understand the purpose of the last story called memories of real poop so that’s the only reason it’s not a 5 star read for me.
