,,Everyone thinks they've got all the time left in the world. But they never stop to ask just how much time that is."

LABAI GERAI.

Kita linija - 2345 metai, pagrindinė šachta, kuri yra visko centras - valdžiai, išrinktiesiems, you name it.

"Shift goes back to show the first days of the Silo, and the beginning of the end In 2007, the Center for Automation in Nanobiotech (CAN) outlined the hardware and software platforms that would one day allow robots smaller than human cells to make medical diagnoses, conduct repairs, and even self-propagate."

Writing:Hugh Howey is fast becoming one of my favorite authors even though this is only the 2nd book I have read of his. I just love the way he writes. I am captivated by every word and he flawlessly immerses you into this world and keeps you there.

Characters: This may be the weakest part of this book. It is from 2 different POVs and one of them I honestly wasn't sure how I felt about them. I went through quite the rollercoaster of emotions with them and I think that is the point. The other POV is someone I adore.

Story: Wow. Just wow. Getting the backstory of everything and learning about 2 completely different people and their POVs was so interesting. It is a slow burn but it's so worth it.

Overall: Loved this book. So very much. It's heavy on the sci-fi/dystopian/apocalyptic themes but those are my jam! Highly recommend for fans of those genres!

I thought the writing was definitely better than Wool but still not great. For me though the story compensated, I love the premise. Also, PLEASE no more Solo, those are (some) rough pointless chapters.
