Re-read this as a read aloud with my 10-year-old. There was a lot of giggling and declarations of “ew! Gross!”

Nice quick read for young readers. A good message about accepting yourself but it's kind of glossed over at the end, I feel.
This was a book assigned to a Mother Daughter reading group. It is super short, about 57 pages. My daughter read it in one sitting and did not like it. I then read it quickly and had to agree from her point of view, that it wasn't on par with the Harry Potter books she just finished reading. However, it is cute in its own right.
I think this is the first "novel" I ever read. I love this book!
