Let's be real. I've been reading this since May 13th. I'm never going to finish it. I'm bored...and I don't want to read it. Plus we know how we all feel about our neighbors....

I enjoyed this book and all the crazy stuff that happened in this neighborhood, but I wish there was more. After a while it got monotonous hearing about those people. I wish there was more to the story line. Maybe an affair between the neighbors. It needed something else.I also didn’t like how it ended. I wish there was more

This book is about a nice neighborhood. New owners of number 1 move in and cause havoc for the neighbors with his multiple cars, loud music and construction noise and garbage. The neighbors decide to band together and report him to the council to try and get rid of him. Sissy in number 2 loses her B&B business because of the noise, Art and Em in #2 have a son develop hearing problems from the constant noise and even the neighborhood Sunday events have to be cancelled because of near accidents on the street. One day Sissy’s son’s girlfriend stays over. She goes to talk to #1 and she is killed from the collapse of the scaffolding in front of the house. Suddenly everyone is a suspect.

Overall the book was good but maybe the plot too small for such a large book. As a result it does drag in places. After the scaffolding incident, there was a lull until Booth himself dies. There was some good intrigue but it went on for too long. It would have worked a little better imo if something else would have happened or if the reveals were done a little differently. I still liked the book but towards the end I just wanted to know the truth so I skipped a few pages so I could get to the ending faster.
