The story had an inspiration, motivational and satire on education, system and ask the audience there views the my aw on the book and education system and what to done for the reform in education system.
Here message was about "go for excellence, not for cramming" " learn understand, apply" and not just cramming and do nothing.
Its a based novel on education system which needs reform and that to really quickly because the pressure life is making it difficult for cope up and they we have a waste of talent as a dead bodies

One of those rare books for which I can say - The movie was better.

I didn't intend to read this book. But for the sake of the person who gifted me this, I read it as she kept asking me how is it. The book tortured me with lots and lots of crap and boredom while I finished it. I wanted to DNF, but I just wanted to see; to what extent can it be more trashy than it already is.
Not trying to be rude but being brutally honest, that this is the worst book ever written by Chetan Bhagat. Or he might surprise us. After reading '2 states', I had some faith that, reading CB books might not be that bad of a plan. But the more I read, alas! I was wrong.
Honestly, I had no idea that the film '3 idiots' was an adaptation of this book. I noticed subtle hints as it sounded familiar while I read it. The director & scriptwriters did such a wondrous job of making a movie that precious from this whatever!
I suggest to anyone who is even thinking of buying it, Don't!! Go read something else which might actually give you joy while reading it. Not an exaggeration, trust me. It is my worst read ever!

This book is mainly about IIT life and I feel anyone dreaming about getting into IIT must read this and know that this place isn't their dream heaven. Students at IIT would realize that it is ok to be at the bottom of the class gpa wise, you may end up better than some of the toppers in the end. Is an ok romance read, probably won't recommend this book for people who are not interested to know about life in IIT.
