A lot of well-developed gay/bi male characters with very clear intentions but that was also the pitfall; too many characters. Really brought you in at the beginning but I eventually wasn’t too convinced by the time Crowley’s intentions. I liked a lot of elements separately, just wasn’t a fan of them together. Also, trigger warnings for a lot of heavy topics

This is the weakest of LaRocca’s work that I’ve read. It lacks his usual cutting, visceral edge and while the story as a whole is an interesting idea, the whole thing just feels a little underbaked.

Just finished this fantastic book full of some lovely prose! Eric Larocca can make the most uncomfortable and gruesome seem beautiful. I fell in love with these characters, and this story was such a page turner!

I was very curious about what was going to happen next -- curious enough to look past the overly flowery language used frequently. I was already struggling to continue, and I didn't care for how the author handled the blind character when I gave up. A friend recommended LaRocca's work, so I was pretty excited about this until I actually started reading it.
