Sadly this book was the worst in the series. It rambled and had very little action. I am really sad that this is how the series ends... I would not recommend this one.

Sadly the weakest book of the series but I did manage to finish after feeling bored and indifferent for the first half of the book. I just didn't love the angst and the story plot was not as strong as the previous books. I felt we were left in the dark while things were happening and the ending just wasn't satisfying for the series. Lacked the action and character driven plot like the other books in the series.

1.5 out of 5 rating for me!

I received a copy of Alpha Erased from the author/publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I am in no way obligated to write a positive review.

Aileen Erin paints a believable picture of supernatural beings living in the modern world. Tessa and Dastien are True Mates. If one goes dies the other one will as well.

Tessa is a hybrid that cam unite natural supernatural enemies making her a target for her enemies. When Tessa receives a frantic phone call from her brother Axel it will change their lives. The call results in Dastien fighting for their love and control of his wolf. Alpha Erased is more Dastien's story than Tessa's. It tore at my heartstrings. It is a rollercoaster of emotions as you see him teeter back and forth between hope and despair. Luckily for him the council is present to provide encouragement and assistance against what becomes an inter dimensional game of hide and seek.

I don’t usually write reviews for Aileen Erin’s novels, but this one deserved it so much. Tessa’s character development over all of the books really comes full circle in this book. I loved having Dastien’s POV, and I loved seeing his struggles without his mate. Beautiful.

This book made me cry, and this is a feat, as I usually never cry in books. Aileen really outdid herself with this one. The ending was a perfect way to end the series, in my opinion. Chef’s kiss.

5/5 stars but I wish I could give it more.

I got this ARC from netgalley, saddly I was so excited about the plot that I missed the fact that this is the 9th book in the series ( I know, I`m an idiot lol).

I realised as soon as I start reading it my mistake, but didn`t want to dnf it because of my stupidity. I read a few more chapters, until I decided that I definitly need to read this series from book 1.

It`s a supernatural adventure, where teenagers from different species (werewolfs, vampires, whiches and werewitches) are working hard to protect the world from demons and other treats. So that had me hooked from the beggining.

It sounds like a great story and i definitly recomend it if you`re into supernatural or shadowhunters :D. One piece of advice though, start with book 1 and you`ll deffinitly enjoy this one more haha

So I chose to review this YA paranormal because of werewolves, fey, witches and vampires of course. I also took a chance on book 9 of a series and I was able to follow along so it definitely can be read as a standalone. And what a magical and compelling tale it is. It's about losing one's true mate to dark magic and discovering that love truly conquers all.

As werewolves, Dastien's love for his True Mate, Tessa, is forever and if one dies, the other follows. So when Tessa is kidnapped, Dastien is devastated and lost for over a year trying to find some small part of the bond True Mates share to no avail. Even the council of a powerful mixture of werewolves, witches and fey cannot come up with a spell to find her. Until, by accident, Tessa is found with no memory of who Dastien is. So in a race with time Dastien has to save her starving soul by making her fall in love with him again. Will he save her in time?

I really enjoyed getting to know all of the diverse characters in this book. Of course, Dastien was the main attraction in this particular book since Tessa was under a spell for most of the time, but the story was told in both of their voices. Though I haven't read any of the previous books in the series, it is obvious that Dastien loves Tessa deeply, and to see him lose his confidence and hope in finding Tessa is heartbreaking. Apparently, he carries a lot of guilt for changing her into a werewolf when they first met without giving her a choice. He feels this is his punishment and doesn't deserve her. Tessa is a force to be reckoned with considering she is part witch, werewolf, and possibly something else so her will to live is great. The wonderful supporting characters of Chris, Collette, Axel, Michael, and Samantha are a great addition to the family dynamic of the group. Of course, let's not forget the fey queen, Helen, who takes evil to the next level.

Overall, this is an intriguing, heartbreaking, and romantic YA paranormal fantasy that was difficult to put down. I will definitely pick up book 1 someday to learn more about Dastien and Tessa's story.  If you enjoy YA paranormal stories with dark magic and a desperate search against time, give this book a try.

Thank you to Ms. Erin for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
