I think this book should be on everyone's reading lists. Although it is old and Dale Carnegie sounds quite presumptuous throughout the entire book, his main message is one I think people should adopt as their own. Through many personal examples and stories, he sends the same message for what he calls the "secret to success." I wouldn't say this is the only quality you need, but it is an important one to take to heart.

Considering this was written in 1936 I thought how relevant most of the practical examples were!! yes some of the information seems mainstream now, but in its time I totally think nobody had written a book about this subject it must have been eye-opening. I enjoyed it, well sectioned and informed. Many take aways from reading it... I particularly liked the idea that you "never win an argument" and killing people with kindness is always the answer.

I didn't think I'd like this book because I thought the title was a bit cheesy - like maybe it was for those who have trouble making friends, but it really was a good book! So much wisdom from beginning to end! Good points were brought up that made me think.

Just read the principles

I liked this but it is dated. The advice will help. It was interesting for sure.
