I found this book to be delightful. Alyssa doesn't take herself too seriously, and talks through her story in a very light and funny way. I find her to be very relatable and loved getting the backstory on how she got to where she is now.

I love how easy it is to read Alyssa’s books. Not as great as the first one but still a fun read.

I guess I’m too old to consider this book life changing or give it five stars. It’s a quick read but I can’t say it offered any great insights. But maybe that’s because I’m not 27. However, her chapter What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting was fantastic.

Some gems, but probably would have enjoyed rereading the first one again more.

I loved Alyssa Mastromonaco's first book, and assumed I'd love this one too. I think all I can muster is "like."

I go through podcast listening phases, so I've heard her on plenty of those, and obviously our politics align, and really she's always seemed very fun. I follow her on Twitter. I recommended this book to my sister before I was even done with it. She just feels like one of our people.

That said, the throughline on this book was a little... non-linear. It was fine. I read it in a couple of hours. I guess spending a large chunk of my years in political circles just makes books written by people in political circles extra relatable.

Despite the fact that she is a cat person and I am a dog person, I feel a kinship with Alyssa Mastromonaco. She is braver than I am, but her advice on trusting your gut goes a long way. Really enjoyed this short and sweet little read. And I completely agree that underwear are bullshit.

I think this is a bit inaccurately titled and blurbed, but it's a really fun collection of stories and thoughts and Obama bits.

I liked her first book better, but there were some good takeaways and stories in this one.

Off the cuff rambling in the style of a standup comedian, some hits mostly misses while trying to be funny while reflecting on her life experiences, especially working in the White House for President  Obama. I was sometimes entertained. Som times grossed out or disturbed, then alternatingly entertained, but not laugh  out loud funny.. Just roll my eyes out shake my head and tsk kinda funny I guess that's kind of the sheickt . An interesting of cynical read about career, life choices, family choices, ethics and such
