I don't normally like these kinds of books and it was just a bit much for me.
I also got a major spoiler before I even started reading it. (Here it is for anyone who wants it)
Mason is the guy who kidnapped her and also her love interest, also he doesn't go to jail because he kills himself

I really enjoyed this book. Though, at first, I found the prose too waxing and poetic with an excess of adjectives and specificity of description, once it was explained that the narrator was a poet it made a lot more sense. I saw the twist coming a mile away, but I felt like that didn’t matter because the emotional weight and journey of the protagonist were what carried the story, not simply the plot of her abduction. Because of this, I especially liked that her story did not end wen she was found. We were given further glimpses into the struggles in the aftermath. Overall a powerful story with a well developed protagonist.
