yeah no

I really enjoyed this book. Loved the history. That was my favorite part. That being said. I had a hard time finishing it, only because I felt it was much longer then it needed to be. Good action to start. Nothing but a lull and sex in the middle and more action in the end.

Sigh

4.5 stars.

I won't lie..this is definitely a rough read. It's gritty and you feel each and every cut that these two felt. That is what I love about most of KA she can really bring it two people who in some crazy way are it for each other and make it so freaking believable. Creed and slyvie were perfect. Are they my fave KA couple...nope but you can't deny they are perfect.

Creed is the second book in the Unfinished Heroes series by author Kristen Ashley.

This book was by far much better than Knight. I wasn't a huge fan of the first book in this series titled Knight, but since Kristen Ashley is an addiction that you can't quit, I had to read it anyway. The writing in this one was so much better and I didn't have to reread what was being said over and over again. In Knight it seemed like he had a language all of his own, but with Creed it was sexy and dare I say, normal. Not only that, but the word 'Daddy' didn't come out of Creed's mouth once so that was a major plus in this story.

Creed was sexy and bad ass. I loved his character and whenever we were treated with a chapter from his POV, I wanted to read it several times just to imagine his sexy voice in my head. Creed is not only the title of this book, but he is also the star who stole the show. I couldn't get enough of him.

Sylvie wasn't really a character I enjoyed. Don't get me wrong -- I love kick ass heroine's. It just seemed like the author tried to hard to make the reader believe she was kick ass, but I just wasn't feeling it for some reason.

Yes, the same holds true with Creed as it does with every Kristen Ashley book. There are run on sentences, editing flaws and over the top characters, but this is the authors signature in my opinion. It makes it apart of the whole reason her books are so addictive. While this series still isn't one of my favorites, I can tell the author has grown in her story telling and character development. I can't wait to dive into the third book that recently released featuring a character named Raid. My family will miss me while I read it for hours, but I will continue to get my fix of Kristen Ashley.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

I enjoyed both Sylvie and Creed... but Sylvie had my heart.

Another fantastic read from KA. I loved Sylvie and Tucker and my heart absolutely broke for them. This was a tough one at times, but yet so worth it. It was emotional and sexy and everything I have come to know and love from KA.

Kristen Ashley never disappoints and this book is one I know I'll read again. This series might be my favorite from KA, but then again I say that about all of hers. You can't go wrong with anything she has written.

3.5 I don't know how I feel stars

This was.... good. I liked Sylvie and Creed. It was KA so it was emotional, super sexy, and had some great scenes. But I felt a disconnect with the characters.

I think it was tough, not fully understanding Sylvie and Creed's past, so when that first sex scene happened I didn't know how to feel about it? And it seemed like they became an item really really quickly. Which, based on the rest of the book made sense, but as a reader, we didn't have all that information at the get go. So it just felt rushed and without the necessary emotions.

I think that rereading this would actually make me like it more. Knowing their entire past.

But still there was something about this one that was just... meh.

However, I did love the badassness of Sylvie and both Kara and Brand were great.

And once again Kristen Ashley has blown my mind! What a roller coaster ride of heart warming and heart breaking emotion.

I've read thirteen KA novels. I thought Knight was my favorite. This one is better. KA's gift in developing tormented and sympathetic characters explodes in this series. Okay, so all her heroes are ludicrously hawt and sexually domineering--Lord help me, this is the crux of my KA addiction--but they also harbor an honest-to-goodness center that is masterfully exposed in passionate dialogue and valiant behavior. Creed surpasses all the KA heroes before him in this regard. He radiates decency beneath his scarred exterior, his entire world narrowed to his love for his family and his long-lost childhood soul mate. But he's only one half of the impeccably matched whole. I fell in love with the narrator, Sylvie, on page one. She's the most hardened female lead KA has created yet. Her promiscuity, her detachment, her independence, are credible given the nightmare she's endured. This powerful story would've been lost through the voice of a weepy victim. The interwoven passages of past and present wrenched me along with a stubborn and painful lump in my throat. KA shoves you in-scene with the H/h, fighting their internal-external struggles, aching through their hellish chronicle, and soaring in their stolen moments of unity. In doing this, she reached places inside me very few writers can. I hope to see a lot of books in this series, as well as equal amounts of success. (Note: There's a big warning label on these books, but this is not BDSM and I didn't think the erotica was heightened relative to other KA novels or the genre norm. Though there is ass play in this book--a first that I know of in a KA novel.)
