Made it to 66% of the audio and figured out who the murderer is. Add the horrific narration of some characters and it was enough to abandon this book.

Very enjoyable.

As always, I never see the twist ending coming. A fun read. Horowitz's books are always a good time. And I appreciate the dedication to keeping up the ruse that the Anthony Horowitz character in the book is real.

I'm going to say 3.5. I really love the idea of this series, and Hawthorne is quickly becoming a favorite character - but this mystery wasn't quite as satisfying as the first book. Still a fun read.

I really love Detective Hawthorne, I think that he is funny and he is a really good straight man to Anthony's more overdramatic solvings of cases. I like that the answer is always more simple than it seems. I do want to know though whether or not it really was Kara Grunshaw that was messing with his production, or if it is just really hard to get filming time in London. I think that the struggle with filming things that are supposed to be London, is that it has such iconic and recognizable architecture that you can't sub in another city and fake it.

I would not recommend this book to anyone who can't stand the F word. Horowitz does not use it crazy often, but all the police officers do say it quite a few times.

A good holiday read. The author has a lot o fun combining his real life as a writer (specifically of Foyle's War) and as a Watson figure to an annoying private investigator. The book keeps you guessing to the last chapter, and in spite of protestations I think there will be a third Hawthorne novel where we find out more about him.

I probably should’ve started with book one of the series. Chapters 1-2 made me question whether or not I picked up something I’d really enjoy. After that, all was good. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and the twists.

Entertaining book though lots of lose ends that will hopefully be tied up in book 3.

A real page turner!
