The main character is a little too much of a "chosen one" but the story is engaging and the basketball scenes are fun to read (even for someone who isn't a basketball fan!).

As someone familiar with Native culture through growing up and my career, this was such a great read! The authenticity of the characters and their struggles are strengths of the novel. I found myself smiling at the uncles and pulling for the team every step of the way.
