Una historia corta pero muy, muy intensa. La protagonista, G. H., de la que solamente conocemos su profesión y su estilo de vida, tiene una experiencia reveladora cuando entra en una habitación y ve una cucaracha en el suelo.
La novela se centra en el conflicto interno de la protagonista; su deseo de conseguir un objetivo (aunque tarde en darse cuenta de cuál es) y mostrarlo en multitud de reflexiones sobre la existencia humana, la naturaleza, el amor, el miedo y otro tipo de sentimientos.
Escrita en primera persona y focalizada, de forma extrema, en la protagonista.
Utiliza un vocabulario muy rico y variado, aunque será necesario tener un diccionario a mano.
Personalmente, leer esta novela, aun cuando está extraordinariamente bien escrita, ha sido bastante duro y lento. Se debe hacer despacio para no perderse y, aun así, esto último puede llegar a pasar y obligarte a releer un capítulo desde el principio.

Quasi-philosophical. Almost each chapter / paragraph felt like an idea that could've be explored much better in a standalone title that actually had plot. Plotless novels can be good if they are lyrical or at least explore a certain topic, character, etc.
This read mostly like a 200 pages collection of thought and quotable sentances that constructed nothing coherent in the end. Way too metaphisycal with no substance to back it up. If the goal was to show "female characters have thoughts as well", than this novel accomplished that, but sadly nothing more than that.
