This small town romance filled with an eclectic cast of characters was exactly what I was hoping for when I picked this book up. I couldn’t help but route for the main characters in this book, but it wasn’t just the main characters. Every side character in this book was allowed to shine, each one made you love their crazy, messy family all the more.
It does have that hallmark movie feel to it, big city girl coming to a small town, but I really felt this book did the plot justice, without leaving you feeling jaded in any way at the end. This was a great, cozy, and fun read.

I loved Exes and O’s but sadly, this was a miss for me. The characters lacked chemistry and the less than two week timeline made absolutely no sense.

Ya that timeline worked for While You Were Sleeping because those characters had chemistry, tension, slow burn AND funny/quirky side characters. I felt like I knew Jack and Lucy but I did not feel any connection to Mel and Evan. They felt really forced and the bickering family didn’t really make me want to root for them.

Also there’s an obvious editing mistake at the end where Fiona talks about her son Evan but Nessa is his mother. This pretty much sealed this book’s fate as a 2-star read.

Alright, this one was my favorite of the series! I love me a good mountain man/country boy/gruff man and a city girl/girly girl romance, so this one was right up my alley! Evan was everything, and I really love Mel and Evan's entire family. The family had ne rolling most of the time, but they kept me truly invested in the story!
