This was cute, and probably my favorite of the series however it was still missing something for me but idk what that something is. I was really into it at the start but it kind of fazed out as I continued. Overall good read though

Best book in the series. Thank you Netgalley and Penguin Random House Audio for this eARC & ALC!

5 stars!

I eat up every single book that Amy Lea writes and I’m not sorry about it.

This was a fun, gripping slow burn with fantastic characters.

In a last-ditch effort to rescue her brand from the brink of
irrelevance, Boston fashion influencer Melanie Karlsen finds
herself in a rural fishing village on the east coast of Canada.
The only thing scarier than nature itself? The burly and
bearded bed-and-breakfast owner and fisherman, Evan
Whaler-who single-handedly disproves the theory that
Canadians are "nice." After a boating accident lands Evan
unconscious in the hospital, Mel is mistaken for his fiancée by
his welcoming yet quirky family, who are embroiled in a long-
standing feud over the B&B. In a bold attempt to mend family
fences, Mel agrees to fake their engagement for one week in
exchange for Evan's help with her social media content.

Absolutely could not put this book down once I started reading it.

If you’re a fan of a good romance story with an amazing slow burn and a fun plot this is the one for you.

Each book we get from Amy Lea's Influencer series is fantastic, and The Catch is my new favorite one! This grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers, fake dating/fiancé's, and small-town romance caught my attention and reeled me in! I felt the chemistry between Mel and Evan, and it was intense! There were so many moments where I smiled and laughed out loud while listening to the audiobook. The narration by Kelsey Navarro Foster was perfection! I highly recommend the audiobook for this one because I binged it in one day!

Thank you, Penguin Random House Audio, for my ALC

I struggled to get invested in this one. It had a few elements that I usually love - small town, fake dating - but then it also was very insta love with the whole story taking place in less than 2 weeks. It wasn’t enough time for me to be convinced. Plus I didn’t feel there were enough moments between them that felt romantic.

It didn’t help that I kind of compared it to It Happened One Summer. Admittedly not fair to compare the two books but there were some basic similarities(him a fisherman in a small town, her an influencer) where I couldn’t help it.

“You're never alone in this world while I'm in it, Mel." There's a conviction in his words that makes me feel grounded, tethered in a way I've never been able to grasp.”

I didn’t like the first book in this series, I really liked the second one. Time for the third.…

The series is based on social media influencers (YES I ALREADY HATE MYSELF FOR READING THIS LEAVE ME ALONE) and this one dumps a city girl in a small Nova Scotian fishing village with a grumpy lumbersexual.

It wasn’t good. It was overstuffed with surface-level bullshit, yet it took place over 2 weeks. Dull, no real connection between the leads, dumb family issues, lack of depth and emotion… nah.

Now I wonder if the second book was actually good, or if she just caught me on a good day. But I said it was funny, so it must have been. I don’t lie. This was neither funny nor emotional. Keep it.

i absolutely loved this one - my favorite of the series. Mel and Evan’s story has all my favorites: fake dating, enemies to lovers, one bed/forced proximity, found family. the story might throw a lot of tropes at you, but it absolutely works. It was extremely heart warming and i loved the spicy scenes (wished there were a few more thrown in). solid 4 out of 5 starts.
