An intense read!! The cover makes it seem like a fun baby gay novel but it goes hard on the content warnings (self-harm, assault, homophobia). I found it quite a quick and engrossing read but I also had to read the last chapter partway through because I was getting very anxious. Read for a story about how "not all lesbian relationships are lovey-dovey jam-making adventures".
i don’t actually know where to start?
not only is this book full of harmful stereotypes about lesbians and how they just abuse the people they’re in relationships with but also it’s so extremely boring to read?
it put me off as soon as sam didn’t accept julia’s no the first time. and then it put me off again when sam asked julia who she’s hanging out with.
and julia is so incredibly naive, i get she’s a newly out lesbian but being a lesbian doesn’t make you stupid or lose brain cells but apparently she lost all of hers.

Funny, dark, relatable and addictive. Raced through it in under a week; it was difficult to put down. 7/10

I have never read a more toxic lesbian in my life. The narcissistic manipulation was on a 100. I just needed to see where Julia ended up, but it was hard to read
