A deeply (lol) rewarding novel that I thoroughly enjoyed reading on the tube in the hopes that it would liven up a fellow commuter's morning... those who have read the book will know why!
Amongst the detailed sex scenes (of which there are a lot, but not unnecessarily gratuitous) there's a far more important conversation going on about recognising love, lust, and harmful relationship dynamics, regardless of your partner's gender.
It's also has some great comedy moments that are interwoven within a narrative that is especially dark at times.
Really enjoyed it!

Not bad and yet not spectacular either.

I didn’t really like the characters — couldn’t get invested enough to root for a particular outcome. There were some really lovely moments but the book just gives me a deja vu vibe. Like I’ve read this story before, but better.

Absolutely loved this book, it was given to me by my girlfriend and honestly, having been in a toxic relationship in the past, this book highlighted so well how all consuming they are and how you can feel that you’re losing yourself in it.

Oh my god I love this book. So often the book described my experiences and life and never have I wanted to crawl through the pages to shake the main character so badly.

I resent that the worst person in the book is called Sam. She is genuinely one of the worst people I’ve ever read in a book, wish she had drowned in that sea. The ending where she suddenly just walked by Julia was very random though, but I am glad to have gotten one last confirmation of how insane she was.
