enjoyed this one a lot! i’ve now learned the difference between memoir & biography (shoutout it my boss). so it was interesting listening to this and having that clarity around the genre. really enjoyed the audio book & getting to hear it in her own words. i do wanna read a physical copy so i can underline things cause there a lot of lines/ frameworks that stood out to me and i wanna revisit. 

 the only reason it’s not quite a 4 is because it got to be repetitive at times. i do wonder if that wld be my same experience if i was reading v listening tho. 

wanna read another of her memoirs, not sure which though.

As others have said the meandering nature with the random references to people and historical things kinda bored me? Some of it was interesting but I mostly wanted to know more about Melissa’s journey. How did she find pleasure in that year - as the title suggests - but it wasn’t really covered.
