Interesting that you're told the outcome of the story of the beginning (not that we don't all know it already anyways), and strange that really only half of the chapters have to do with Mowgli. It's more a collection of stories than a fluid tale like we're lead to believe in all movie adaptations, but I enjoyed it. Common theme of a child being able to disprove adults. I'd like to learn more about Kipling's time in India as well as Canada.

I really wanted to like this

Maybe it’s just too old for me? The first chapter which the Disney movie is based off was ALRIGHT. but the rest was just so confusing to me. The last chapter though about the different beasts and how they fight etc had a great moral etc. but the language was rough and it took all my willpower to finish this one. So hard to focus. Again maybe because of the vintage language??
