This is the one time where the movie/tv series is BETTER than the book...
So...this one was possibly my favourite so far...and now the books stop being available on audio, so I'll have to actually read them...and I think I enjoyed this one enough (and THAT ENDING) that I'm actually probably going to do it.

This was the one that stopped me reading the new instalments to the series altogether. I got so angry with the characters and the stupid plot that I just gave up on it all. (And wished she'd bloody finish the Night World series because that was actually good and I am STILL desperate to know how it ends.)I gave all of the returned books in to the book swap in the library where I work and tried to forget they existed. "She only wrote four, *cough* first three are better and the fourth is a little rubbish *cough* she only wrote four," I tell myself profusely. Even now when I see a new instalment in the book shop I sneer at them!

The last 100pgs were the most enjoyable and interesting part of the entire book. I’m not gonna lie - I did skim many pages. I feel like there was just way to much internal dialogue and the book could have been 100-200pgs shorter. I was also confused in certain parts about what was going on. Overall, the original The Vampire Diaries series was better than this sequel series. I’m slowly collecting The Hunters spin-off series and Stefan’s Diaries series, which I’m interested in reading what’s going to happen.
2.5...Let's see here...Definitely the best of the three in the tiers trilogy...Then the last 8 chapters, Elena became immature and annoying! Would have liked to see Damon and Bonnie crying it up together at the end instead...Can't decide if I want to start the next tier or not?? Anyone think it's worth it? Help me out fellow TVD fans???
