2.5 stars (rounded up to 3 because half stars aren't a thing yet) - This book was okay, I really only read it because I read book 6 a few years ago and needed closure. The Story was okey, I remember loving the series in highschool but re-reading the synopsis now I see little redeeming qualities tbh - its hilarious how over the top this series is - This book was a good conclusion to the Return Trilogy, I won't be continuing with the series, mostly because I'm just realizing how much of a weirdo I was in highschool and also because they were written by ghost writers.
I don't even know what to say about this book. Sometimes I was like nothing was happening then everything happens and not in the way I was expecting, but It was the ending, so OK I accept It. but then that last chapter, what?? seriously??

I have never wanted to throw a book as much as I wanted to while I was reading Midnight. But I wanted to throw it for good reasons. I was expecting it to be filled with adventures and action but it was more than I expected. I went through so many emotions especially during the last half. You get to find out the answer to one of Shinichi's riddles and you get to learn more things about most of the characters. You can't miss this book if you are a TVD fan!!
In all honestly I'm quite sick of this series. It could've ended a while ago but it keeps stretching on and it's gone into the dirt. Don't get me wrong, I love this series, I just think it should've ended already. The only character I particualrly like is Damon, the others just kind of annoy me. This book seemed to stretch out and rush on a little bit all at the same time, even so, it was a good book with detail and a good plot. I might one day read the rest of the series but I don't see that happening in the near future.

The main reason I read these books was because of Damon/Ian. I loved him so much that I read every book even though I hadn’t enjoyed them much. OMG! This book was so good. But I’m sad because the series was ended. I know there are more books but those were written by some ghost author. And I don’t want to read it.
The secrets revealed in this book were definitely unbelievable. I liked the twists and the way how the story moved.
Apart from Elena’s love for both Stefan and Damon, I loved everything about it. Damon is a precious thing that needed to be taken care of. And I will.
And now I need to catch up on TV series as I’m way behind it.

Okay, I know Elena isn't going to end up with Damon....but I want her to so bad! This is what I think will happen:
Elena will turn into a vampire again and stay with Stefan and Bonnie is going to end up with Damon (Yuck).
How do I want it to happen?
Stefan will somehow trade with Damon and he will become human while Damon is transformed back into a vampire. while fighting Stefan will make some huge sacrifice and die for Elena or Damon. Bonnie will end up with Matt and Elena and Damon will finally be free to love eachother! THE END.
But it wont happen that way, L.J. has already set the stage for Damon and has made him grow fond of Bonnie (calling her his 'little bird') it an earlyer book. and now she's even got him human for Bonnie...GAH I don't want they to be together! they aren't right for eachother. *pout* all I can do is wait and find out, holding onto my tiny shred of hope for Elena and Damon.

...SPEECHLESS! OH MY GOD! I can't wait for the next book to come out! I still want Elena to be with Damon and now they have more of a chance! I will SHOOT someone if Bonnie gets Damon, she is SO NOT WORTH HIM! She is such a 'oh i'm helpless and always sweet and forgiving..LOVE ME!' Blech! I bawled at the end and kept saying 'Damon Damon Damon' Over and over. He should get Elena, he NEEDS her. Bonnie, well, she just needs to die. She never will be good enough for Damon. EVER!
The whole book I was either really pissed at L.J. because Damon was being sweet to Bonnie or really excited and happy because he was showing his interest and love for Elena. It was always up and down, up and down. Elena bonnie, Elena Bonnie. I can tell you right now I will be thinking about this book non stop for about a week. I really don't think I can wait for the next one to be published. How could she do this to me!!!
