I do love a good mystery, so following along to this story as different clues are revealed throughout is great. The book had a slow start but the middle picked up and then the ending of the book was a bit drawn out, but it kept me wanting to know more bout how things were going to end. Good twists and turns.

This is the third Robert Langdon book I have read now. They are mostly enjoyable and I like to compare them to candy. There isn't any nutrition and aren't really good for you, but they mostly taste good. The ending of this book was not very satisfying.

Was good. Liked the suspense of not knowing what was going to happen. But, I didn't feel it was up to the caliber of Angels & Demons.

It's definitely the weakest installment of the Robert Langdon series so far. While the religious subtext has always been there, this book felt a lot more preachy than the previous two. It felt like the flair of blending the historical facts with conspiracy was missing. There was also something about this taking place in the US capital that made it lose some of the mysticism from the European locations. Overall, it's not my favorite Dan Brown book - I can see why the movie producers left this one behind in the adaptation journey.

very fast paced, hard to believe the whole book takes place over about a 24 hour period!

An engaging and compelling page-turner, just like the other two Dan Brown religous-thrillers. The similarities don't end there, unfortunately. All elements of the formula are in place, the crazy-evil madman who's bent on exposing/destroying/preserving some form of religion, the female love interest that accompanies Langdon as he follows the clues, and the list goes on.

However, his books also make you think about religion and philosophy and life in general, which I think is always a good thing.
