Where most of the books I was surprised at who the antagonist was, this one I called early on.
Bắt đầu thấy chán ngán. Cách viết của tác giả nó cứ cấn cấn thế nào ấy.
This has been sitting on my shelf for years (along with hundreds of others - it was not alone, don't worry), but I was finally inspired to pick it up after my boyfriend turned on The Da Vinci Code the other day. Yes, these books are formulaic. Yes, these books are not great literature. I don't care. I planned to read it over 2 days, and I just couldn't stop. And isn't that all we really want? A good story to get sucked into. I enjoy all the random facts too. It did lag at the end, but I still finished it in about 30 hours so I can't complain too much. Perhaps I won't wait 8 years to read Inferno!
Beneath tedious, repetitive prose, telenovela-level plot, a cast of one dimensional characters and prose that was tediously repetitive, there are some interesting paragraphs about history, symbology and philosophy. All in all not too bad for 'academic thriller'.

Typical Dan Brown. Predictable, but exciting and fast-paced. I was a little disappointed with the ending, but overall an ok book.
After reading this book, I understand why they didn't make a movie of it. While I really enjoyed it, it reminded me a little too much of the previous two. Even when he gets to the shocking twist, I wasn't as surprised as I was with the others... Don't get me wrong, still exciting, especially at certain points when some of the characters were looking death in the face.
I always will recommend Dan Brown to people. He is certainly one of my favorite authors. The Langdon series is so in depth, I will never find a book of his boring.

I gave this a three, just because it is so much like the others that I didn't have the shock factor anymore.
the complete novel is breath taking and it becomes difficult to decide the best moment. the account of noetic science to the multiple revelations, the thrill never subsides. a must read for Dan Brown or Robert Langdon fans...
