I loved angels and demons and enjoyed the divinci code, but I trudged through this one.

This was another fun, yet forgettable Dan Brown read. The story was basically a carbon copy of The DaVinci Code, except set in DC.

This book was obviously well-researched, but it was not necessary for Brown to put ALL of his research in this 650-page tome. There was just WAY too much information, and certain passages felt more like a lecture, reducing rather than enhancing, the intrigue.

This book is interesting enough, but the length is not justified. The story is interesting, but I was deeply disappointed with the wrap-up. The height of the mystery was simplistic and, well, LAME.

I would recommend to fans of Dan Brown, but if really Steve Berry is way better. Read anything from him instead of Brown.

i thought it was pretty good. it had it's page-turning moments but sometimes it felt like he (dan brown) was trying too hard... he did get smarmy a few times, which i thought could've been funny if it didn't sound so arrogant, hehe, and he got way too repetitive when going into the next chapters - this would make sense if you had super long chapters following one character to remind you what's been going on with the other character in the new chapter. but it gets somewhat obnoxious if the chapters are only 3 pages long... all in all, it was entertaining, not as good as the da vinci code, but hey, dan brown has to be taken at face value... enjoyable and a pretty quick read once you get to about chapter 3.

As always, Mr Brown managaes to ensnare me in a wild chase, and yet also open my mind to kew possibilities. His books can be an exhausting journey, but they are always well worth the trip.

I cannot believe that this 509-page book occurred over one single day! There were so many twists and turns, so much adventure, so many times I had to read just one more chapter. Out of all the Dan Brown books, this one is my favorite. I especially like that it takes place in DC.

EN: So far, this was my least favorite of the Robert Langdon Saga. In some parts I just felt nothing was really happening. Despite that, Dan Brown sure does how to create misteries.

PT: Até agora, este foi o livro de que menos gostei nesta saga. Em algumas partes parecia que nada acontecia. Apesar disso, o Dan Brown sabe criar mistérios de uma forma excepcional.
