The twist at the end!! I really enjoyed being back in this world. It didn't have the same level of political intrigue as The Cruel Prince Trilogy did, but I still enjoyed the book. I am excited to read The Prisoner's Throne!

okay so i actually thought the premise of this was really good, but i think bc it's a spin off and i associate this world with jude and cardan i didn't fall in love with oak and wren as hard, i think it's a really good spin off, love that it's a duology. i love that we get to learn more about wren and that oak is all grown up but i just miss jude and cardan. the cliff hanger is pretty good but it took me a little while to finish this one and as im picking up the second book im more focused on finishing it so i can move on that actually enjoying it
