Yeah... Nope.
informative inspiring lighthearted reflective relaxing medium-paced

Quite banal and stereotypical storytelling of the Danish way of life.

I loved reading this book. It is a book about when and how people feel happiness by explaining danish culture and the concept of hygge. I like how there are lots of datas and pictures. It made me think about my happiness, and try being more hygge.

This was a fun read. I liked learning about a different culture and I did find myself adjusting the lighting the other day to make my room more hygge. It definitely gave me good food for thought and makes me want to make some small adjustments in my life.

However, this book was repetitive. Also, I listened to it on tape and listening to the recipes was boring. I would have liked the recipes if I had been reading.

3.5 Stars.

This is a book I will probably add to my collection one day. It is a book that was a joy to read, but nothing earth-shattering. Some of it was pretty cheesy, but I liked hearing about some of the studies he has done as the CEO of the Happiness Research Institute.

Light read, coffee table book, and it put a smile on my face.

A quick, easy read that makes you feel cozy with every turn of the page.
Really made me want to put a stew on, light some candles, and cozy up in a soft blanket.

A very nice insight of the Danish culture and people.

This is a book that should have been a blog post.

The first book of a trilogy was a great little book about the hows and whys of hygge. I love that this gave you little bite-sized ways to implement hygge practices in your everyday life.
