The only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is because it felt like a grueling task at times to get through it. There is a lot of world building and prerequisite content that is absolutely necessary, but a bit sleepy. But overall, this was an amazing read and I am so excited to dive deeper into the series/universe.

Side note - The way Sanderson writes battle scenes should be studied by fantasy authors everywhere.

This book was a slog, but you really have to get through all the setup so that you can reach the gripping ending parts. I don't regret reading it but I don't know if I'd ever read it again.
