The person voicing Louie felt stilted and it felt like the author was constantly commenting on one characters weight. It just felt really unnecessary.

Narrator was awful, I could not get past the first few chapters. Will try this one again as a paper/digital read.
The audiobook narrator for Louie was absolutely dragging. Got to chapter 17 and had to tap out. Will try to read this again in the future with the physical book.

I really wanted to like this book but I didn’t. I stopped reading it for a while and finally finished it. I like the idea of the book and the themes and it ended decently so it’s got that going for it.
