When I first started reading this book, I must admit I wasn't sure I would finish it... all because I found one of the characters to be a bit annoying. Oh yes, in the beginning Marquita was not a character I enjoyed. She was rude and disrespectful, and I just didn't relate to the character at all. The other women drew me in though, so I kept pushing on... and I'm glad I did because by the end, Marquita might have just been my favorite. As I got to see more of her story, I understood her actions a bit better and we got to see a tremendous growth in her in the end. And she wasn't the only one, the other women (and men) in the story came a long way too. Taking on mental illness, forgiveness, financial burdens, etc this story was definitely a bit heavy at points, but I really enjoyed seeing how these three very different women had their lives come together in such life changing and unexpected ways.

**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 stars. It will be one of my favorite reads of the year. Why? I believe the author did an amazing job on weaving three lives together in unexpected ways.

This is a book that deals with important mental health topics. Marriage problems. Life’s tragedies. Yet, you don’t finish the book feeling depressed because it is a book about forgiveness, redemption, hope, healing, love, and the power of prayer.

I will be reading more of Vanessa Miller’s books!

This was definitely a good intro to Christian Fiction for me. The storyline was good and I was very much invested!! I also loved how the characters put their trust in God in their situation. Was very realistic. I felt somethings could’ve been fleshed out more but good regardless

Marquise, Alexis and Trish are three women from three very different backgrounds and lifestyles. An unfortunate circumstance brings them into each other lives.

The author did a great job with several sensitive subjects. I especially enjoyed the growth of Marquita. At first I did not like her character, but she truly grew on me. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end

I received a copy of the book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review of my own thoughts and opinions

“Something Good” by Vanessa Miller

⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️

A story about the power of prayer, hope and forgiveness. This beautiful novel follows three women who are connected to the same horrific accident that left one innocent teen paralyzed, and how forgiveness for each other can help them heal as they move into the next chapter of their lives.

I have to admit that this book took a while for me to get into. And because I tend to pick out books based on their cover, I was not aware of the religious aspects of this book which at times, I felt was too much for me. I kept putting this book aside but I am glad that I eventually finished it because it did have great meaning - the consequences of texting while driving, owning up to your mistakes and forgiveness.

There is a great story here! I do like how the ending came together but there were just so many times where it seemed to drag on while there were other times it seemed to be very rushed. Some of the characters I really loved & connected with while some just really got under my skin. As much as I believe that people can change for the better, I don’t believe they can change overnight like a few of the characters did. At the same time, I saw the promise of change in other characters which to me was more believable.

I did enjoy the message this book was giving.

I would rate this book a 3.5 but I am rounding up.

Wholesome Christian novel that will keep you entertained while providing feel good moments. Towards the end things got a little corny but overall solid story! Easy listen and one of the best Christian fiction books I’ve read in a while .
